Food & Mood Breakfast - Bingham Riverhouse

Who’s keen to see food, wellbeing and conversation come together over a nourishing breakfast? Join us for an inspiring morning at the stunning Bingham Riverhouse.

Hosted by Mex Ibrahim, this intimate event will explore the powerful connection between what we eat and how we feel.

We’re delighted to welcome Nicola Moore, one of the UK’s leading nutritional therapists, who will share her insights on the impact of food on mood, energy, and overall wellbeing. With nearly 25 years of experience, Nicola is known for her compassionate, practical approach to health, helping people find balance without the overwhelm of strict diet rules.

Adding a creative, hands-on element, Chef Vanessa Marx, Executive Chef at Bingham Riverhouse, will give a short demo showcasing simple, mood-boosting food designed to elevate your everyday life. Expect practical tips, fresh inspiration, and recipes you can bring into your own kitchen.

After the talk and demo, guests will enjoy a light, nutritious breakfast with coffee, while connecting with fellow food lovers, professionals, and wellness enthusiasts. There will also be samples of mood-enhancing products to take home.

What Big Food Doesn’t Want You to Know: ultra-processed food is quietly dominating our diets, driving ill health, and negatively reshaping policy. It is fuelling a slow-motion public health emergency – yet the truth about its impact remains buried.

As part of Cookery School at Little Portland Street’s Fight Fake Food Campaign, an expert panel laid out their concerns, shared their insights, and offered their hopes for the future.

However this wasn’t another evening of talking heads. It was an interactive event, as together with fellow participants, the audience broke out into groups to share knowledge, spark solutions, and develop a shared action plan to challenge the status quo.

A HUGE thanks to all who came along and you can read a recap on Cookery School at Little Portland Street’s website

Let’s keep talking, keep challenging, keep building the movement for real food and real choice. To keep updated with this campaign – please sign up to the Fight Fake Food mailing list and join the Fight Fake Food LinkedIn Group.

World Food Photography Awards 2026 are open for entries

Enter The World Food Photography Awards 2026

The World Food Photography Awards sponsored by Tenderstem® Bimi® Broccolini, the greatest global celebration of food photography, are open for entries for their 2026 edition. Our co-founder Mex is delighted to be on the advisory board for a second year.

The competition, now in its 15th year, invites amateur and professional photographers alike to share their captures of food stories from all around the world, whether told through landscape, portrait, travel, wedding, photojournalistic or any other style of photography.

There’s a top prize of £5,000 to be won and all finalist images will be exhibited at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London. A hand-picked selection of finalist images will also be displayed at the iconic Fortnum & Mason store in Piccadilly.

This competition is one of the best photography competitions in the world,’ says Louise Rayner, previous finalist. ‘Entering such a big, global competition is huge; it takes courage and confidence to do it, but you just never know what the judges are looking for. I entered on the very last day, scared I wouldn’t get anywhere, but I made it to the finals with a photo I took quickly on my phone – so you just never know what might happen!
