Celebrate Sustainable Gastronomy Day at Mercato Mayfair
16th June
Following our successful series of panel events at Mercato Mayfair’s beautiful venue, join us at Women in the Food Industry for two unmissable panel events and a mini food fair with sustainable food producers. From exploring current and future regenerative food systems, to hearing from women where sustainable food is at the heart of their businesses – you will leave with a host of ideas and inspiration to celebrate Sustainable Gastronomy Day. Each panel is two hours allowing us to celebrate seasonal ingredients and producers, discuss how to preserve wildlife and at the same time explore both traditional and new culinary experiences.
10.30am – 12.30pm – The Future of Regenerative Food Systems Join us for a powerful panel exploring the future of food through the lens of regenerative farming. Featuring voices reshaping our food system – from Flawsome Drinks’ Beth Scott to Georgie Pruden of Shrub Provisions, Riverford’s regenerative farming lead Harriet Bell, and Claire Mackenzie, producer of the acclaimed documentary Six Inches of Soil – this conversation will ignite ideas and inspire action towards a more nourishing, resilient planet. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from those sowing the seeds of real change.
3pm – 5pm – Putting Sustainability at the Heart of your Food Business What does it really take to build a food business rooted in sustainability? Join an inspiring panel of women leaders transforming the industry from the inside out. Nureen Glaves (Feed Me Good), Christine Bailey (Nutritionist & Chef), Kristal Baker (Luxwells), Meriel Armitage (Club Mexicana) and Mehak Kansal (Bindas Eatery) will share bold insights on making purpose-driven decisions, creating impact through innovation, and leading with sustainability at the core. Whether you’re a founder, foodie, or future changemaker, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.
Fertile Ground: How Our Food and Climate Shape Fertility

A panel about how the foods we eat and the way we live can shape our ability to conceive. Plus a mini female founded food fair.
The Conduit, social impact private member’s club in partnership with Women in the Food Industry, The Ethical Deli Market from Todelli & FUTURE WOMAN presents Fertile Ground – a fresh, engaging discussion about how food, lifestyle, and our changing environment are impacting fertility.
We’ll convene some of the sharpest minds in wellness and nutrition, including Jenny Tschiesche (nutritionist and cookbook author), Francesca Lyon (fertility expert and lead nutritionist at FUTURE WOMAN), and Dr. Jenny Goodman (ecological medicine pioneer and author of Staying Alive in Toxic Times) to break down complex topics like toxins, hormones, and lifestyle changes and share tips you can actually use.

A Fine Line – VIP Reception & Panel – 23rd June
Celebrate Women in Food & Film with Chefs Asma Khan, Sally Abé, Chantelle Nicholson and Director/Producer Joanna James with a wine reception, film premiere & panel discussion
Join us for the UK premiere of the award-winning documentary A Fine Line, hailed by Vanity Fair as the “Best Documentary by a First-Time Filmmaker,” celebrating world-renowned women chefs like Dominique Crenn, Cat Cora, Elena Arzak and more while tackling gender inequality.
Hosted by the US-based nonprofit, MAPP, in partnership with Brand Archery, Les Dames d’Escoffier London and ourselves, with welcome Amandla wines (the UK’s only black female run wine company), Lucky Saint no-alcohol beer (thanks to MD Emma Heal), and canapés prepared by TV chef, educator & restaurateur Dipna Anand, followed by the film screening and a thought-provoking panel discussion with extraordinary UK women chefs, including: Activist Chef Asma Khan, owner of Darjeeling Express and awarded the Craft Guild Chefs Special Award, Sally Abé, awarded Chef of the Year in the SquareMeal Ayala Female Chef Awards, and Chef Chantelle Nicholson, Green Michelin Star owner of Apricity and more.
In this inspiring event in London, partner organizations are committed to creating a long-term impact beyond a one-day event bringing greater visibility for women.
MAPP’s Global Women Leadership Initiative provides all-paid externships part of Sky’s the Limit scholarship program presented by Delta Air Lines and PepsiCo.
Visiting US Chef Kiran Verma, a 2023 James Beard Semifinalist for Best Chef Texas is a self-taught chef who has been guided by her Indian upbringing and a love of fine cuisine. In the spirit of connection and community, Kiran will be cooking with Chef/owner Dipna Anand in her restaurant, Brilliant Gastro in Southall, West London. She will also be connected to all participating chefs and will get the opportunity to spend some time with Anjula Devi, author, culinary educator and Consultant Chef at Manchester Utd.
Business Growth & Expansion: Panel & Lunch at The Grand York
24th June
Last but not least our friends in the North can take part in our next Women in the Food Industry Yorkshire event, which is all about business growth and expansion. Join us as we dive into the realities of scaling up without burning out or risking it all. Hear from inspiring female entrepreneurs who are in the thick of growth, have built successful large-scale operations, or have navigated the path to a profitable exit.
