Food Systems events at The Conduit – Big Food vs The People – 22nd October 2025
It’s the return of some free events for all those interested in food systems at Social Impact club The Conduit in Covent Garden. We are delighted to announce the first of two special events.
Ultra-processed food is taking a toll on our health – and the truth is being buried. Mex Ibrahim, co-founder of Women in the Food Industry and Community Champion of The Conduit’s Food Systems Community Group, chairs an expert line-up as they layout their concerns, share their insights, and offer their hopes for the future.
And that’s where you come in. Together with fellow participants, you will breakout into groups to share your knowledge and spark solutions, developing a shared action plan to challenge the status quo.
This is a collaborative mission: to reclaim our food future. Join us at The Conduit for the start of an urgently needed movement.
Conduit members can register for FREE right now & watch this space to see how non-members can register nearer to the date of the event.
We’re also hosting some drinks and a discussion for World Vegan Month in November – keep an eye on the Conduit’s Food Systems Community Group for more.
Our Co-Founder Mex has won a Speciality & Fine Food Fair Award for DEI
We are delighted to announce that our co-founder, Mex Ibrahim, has been awarded the DEI Champion Award at this year’s Speciality & Fine Food Fair. This award recognises a business or individual that has championed diversity, equity and inclusion, transformed their operations, and made a lasting positive impact on the industry. Winners are selected by a panel of experts and ambassadors, not by nomination, making this recognition particularly meaningful.
This honour is not just for us but for our whole community – the inspiring women and allies who continue to shape a more inclusive and representative food & drink sector. We would like to thank ALL the great women who make up our community and give each other strength, support and confidence.
