Female industry leaders to share their stories at The UK Food & Drink Shows

The 2026 UK Food & Drink Shows, supported by Women in the Food Industry, will be shining a spotlight on the work of female industry leaders as businesses from across the trade come together for three days of innovation, inspiration and networking. Taking place at the NEC Birmingham from Monday 13 to Wednesday 15 April, The UK Food & Drink Shows comprises four events that each target a sector of the industry: Food & Drink Expo, Farm Shop & Deli Show, National Convenience Show and Forecourt Show.

Free to register, one ticket will give access to all four shows.

The 2026 event will again feature a packed programme of expert speakers and inspiring presentations on the topics and trends that are driving the industry.

These will include a series of sector-specific panels featuring women in senior roles in convenience retail, hospitality and grocery. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how their careers began, the challenges they overcame and the advice they would share to aspiring women looking to build a career in food and drink.

There will be special Women in the Food Industry panel on 15th April on Resilience & Reinvention: Thriving in a Changing Food Industry, led by Mex Ibrahim, co‑founder of Women in the Food Industry, this panel brings together three inspiring hospitality leaders – Aida Khan, founder of Shola Kitchen and Daksha Chef D of My Green Kitchen. Together, they’ll share honest, hard‑won insights into overcoming setbacks, pivoting business models and staying adaptable in an industry that never stands still. From personal stories of challenge and change to practical takeaways you can apply in your own venture, this session offers a rare, behind‑the‑scenes look at what it really takes to endure, and thrive, in a rapidly evolving food landscape.
