Scripts for Supper is the brain-child of former MasterChef semi-finalist Annie McKenzie. It’s an immersive dining experience, adapting classic stories, served with a menu inspired by the story. Fellow MasterChef finalist Juanita Hennessey is now Head Chef and designed a seasonal menu to match the much loved The Wind in The Willows. Our co-founder, Mecca Ibrahim, went along to a preview at Stepney City Farm.

Be inspired, as our co-founder Janie Ash, interviews two successful entrepreneurs; award-winning entrepreneur Carl Morris, co-founder of popular restaurant chain Yard & Coop and Jonathan Poole, co-owner of Red & Blue Restaurants, the company behind Bacaro, Salt House Tapas and Hanover Street Social at this Enterprise Nation Event on 12th June at Leaf in Manchester.

We spoke to BAFTA winning TV Series Producer and Development Exec Antonia Lloyd who is always on the hunt for new TV talents that could launch the next big food format. Antonia has produced BBC One’s MasterChef, Britain’s Best Home Cook, and Channel 4’s new series Beat the Chef – hosted by Andi Oliver and due out later this year. Here she helps to unpack the process of getting on TV.

We interviewed all of the amazing women about appearing on Great British Menu –  Sabrina Gidda of Allbright, Emily Scott of St Tudy Inn, Lorna McNee of Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, Gleneagles,  Samira Effa formerly of The Alimentum and Cindy Challoner formerly of The Classroom. 2019 was the first all female finale of MasterChef and our co-founder, Mecca Ibrahim, was delighted to interview champion Irini Tzortzoglou about her experience on the show.  She caught up with Irini not long after she had returned to her home in  Cumbria after a working holiday to Crete, the place of her birth, to talk about what life was like after winning.
