For the last three years CODE, the leading hospitality magazine and website. have published a list that honours women who “genuinely affect change in the hospitality industry.” We are delighted that so many supporters of Women In the Food Industry (WiFi) feature in 2020’s list of amazing women.

It goes without saying these are unprecedented times and in times of crisis it is normal to feel overwhelmed, helpless and fearful. In our week of celebrations around International Women’s Day we held two events on International Women’s Day itself to share the stories of a variety of Urban Female Food Founders and run a mini food fair from female led food producers. To kick start the series, our co-founder, Mecca Ibrahim, interviewed Sally Abé, Head Chef of The Harwood Arms, London’s only Michelin starred pub. Originally from Mansfield,  Nottingham, Sally is representing the Central region.

We have a whole week’s worth of events for International Women’s Day. You’ll discover a whole range of demos, debates, networking, tastings & lunchtime talks to celebrate the day’s theme of #EachForEqual.
