The British Library are in the 5th year of their highly popular talks on food, all inspired by their extensive food-related collections.  Many of the events feature prominent women in the food industry. The events started in  April and run until late May 2022. We highlight some of our favourites.

Since we are a community of food lovers we thought it would be fun to share with each other what we’ve been making each week. It might be your favourite dish, a new one or even a disaster. Don’t know about you, but here at WIFI HQ we are always curious to find out what each other have been up to in the kitchen. It’s good to share, chat and discover new recipes and be inspired isn’t it?

Our campaign to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022 was a huge success and encapsulated the vision of Women in the Food Industry, that together, we can be a force for good and we all need to be role models to inspire the next generation.

We are enormously proud and humbled to have Irini Tzortzoglou 2019 Masterchef Champion as one of our Ambassadors. She is a very busy woman but she took the time to share with us some of our latest news.

Ruth Hansom, Head Chef of The Princess of Shoreditch, has reached the finals of the Roux Scholarship. Ruth was the first woman to win National Young Chef of the Year. Ruth was a finalist in Great British Menu 2020 and cooked at the banquet. She also won BBC2 Million Pound Menu in 2018. Our co-founder Mecca Ibrahim, interviewed her just before the regional finals.
