School Food Matters’ mission is to ensure that every child enjoys fresh sustainable food at school and understands where their food comes from.  Their founder and MD Stephanie Slater works with parents, children and schools to help to improve school meals and support food education through cooking, growing and visits to farms. We caught up with Stephanie to discover how she set up the initiative and explore what motivates and inspires her work and how we can help the organisation with their efforts.

Speciality & Fine Food Fair, is the UK’s leading showcase of artisanal food and drink. Now in its 25th year is returning from the 10th – 11th of September at Olympia, London. It’s a free industry event, designed as a food festival. Our co-founder, Mex Ibrahim, is delighted to be chairing a session in the Trends Theatre on 10th September called Diversity: More Than Just Ticking Boxes. The Guild of Food Writers announced the winners for its annual Awards on 12th June 2024 at a glittering ceremony. One of the longest running awards in food writing and broadcasting the winners featured emerging talents such as Felicity Souter and Molly Codyre. Also some of the industry’s best-known female food writers and broadcasters, including Bee Wilson and Prue Leith gained great recognition for their achievements. Our co-founder Mecca Ibrahim is a member of The Guild of Food Writers and attended the ceremony at the Royal Institution in Mayfair. She highlights the women who took home awards  for 2024.

The Guild of Food Writers announced the shortlists for its annual Awards for 2024, one of the longest running awards in food writing and broadcasting. The shortlists highlight emerging talents from women writers including Su Scott and Felicity Souter. Also some of the industry’s best-known food writers and broadcasters, including Xanthe Clay and Bee Wilson. Our co-founder Mecca Ibrahim is a member of The Guild of Food Writers and highlights the women finalists ahead of the awards ceremony which will take place on Wednesday 12th June 2024.
