Agak Agak – Everyday Recipes from Singapore – is the second cookbook by Shu Han Lee. Our co-founder Mex Ibrahim knew Shu from the times when Mex commissioned recipes for Great British Chefs, so it was with great pleasure to attend a launch of Shu’s book which included a demo of recipes at, so it was with great pleasure to attend a launch of Shu’s book which included a demo of recipes at Divertimenti cookery school.

At Women in the Food Industry we are continuing our series of interviews the strong female line-up of chefs appearing on Great British Menu from across Britain competing to serve their dish at the final banquet. Nationwide fresh pasta delivery service Pasta Evangelists has teamed up with our friends at wonky veg supplier, Waste Knot, to launch its first range of “wonky” pasta dishes made from pumpkin flesh that would otherwise go to waste at this time of year.

For the last three years CODE, the leading hospitality magazine and website. have published a list that honours women who “genuinely affect change in the hospitality industry.” We are delighted that so many supporters of Women In the Food Industry (WiFi) feature in 2020’s list of amazing women.

It goes without saying these are unprecedented times and in times of crisis it is normal to feel overwhelmed, helpless and fearful.
