Speciality & Fine Food Fair, is the UK’s leading showcase of artisanal food and drink. Now in its 25th year is returning from the 10th – 11th of September at Olympia, London. It’s a free industry event, designed as a food festival. Our co-founder, Mex Ibrahim, is delighted to be chairing a session in the Trends Theatre on 10th September called Diversity: More Than Just Ticking Boxes. Women in the Food Industry brought you an insightful panel event, with a showcase of South Asian snacks, & soft drinks. You will have met an inspirational panel of women who are leveraging their food businesses to promote intercultural dialogue & also discovered the challenges they faced as South Asian women in the food industry and how they overcame them.

Spill the Beans is an entrepreneurial, inspirational and motivational networking event aimed at food and drinks start-ups and entrepreneurs from ethnic minority communities. Our awesome Women in the Food Industry panel event was ably chaired by food writer Jenny Linford, who led a lively and inspiring discussion on sustainability, equality in hospitality, heritage and authenticity at The Conduit on 12th December 2023. Discover what happened.

We will explore cutting-edge innovations, such as autonomous robots and AI, vertical farming, food waste reduction, and resource management technologies.

It’s a great time to be working in the UK cheese industry. Cheese blogger Steph Tod speaks with some of the women in the sector to find out how they adapted their practices during the COVID-19 pandemic and what the future of the industry looks like.

At Women in the Food Industry we are interviewing the strong female line-up of chefs from across Britain competing to serve their dish at the final banquet of Great British Menu. To close our celebrations of championing women in the food industry, on International Women’s Day we will be talking to some women who are trailblazers and pioneers in their field.

We will uncover their amazing journeys and some of the issues they feel are facing women in the food industry today and whether this has changed over time.

You are invited for an afternoon of inspiring stories from a line up of empowering women in the food and drink industry. We will discuss the panellists’ amazing stories and how they were able to turn their lives around with opportunities that came their way.

We’ll also explore any particular issues our panel feel face them as women in the food industry and how they might expect or hope for those issues to change going forward.
